Price memory is an interesting thing and is the only reasonable explanation for why EDward Gaming continue to be so highly overrated. EDG were excellent last split, and the team still fields most of its LPL 2023 Spring core, but it’s very obvious that EDward Gaming are not the same.
Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao is performing well for a player who took a long hiatus, and he’s not the reason why EDG are not competing for the top spots. Rather, the whole team is struggling in the current meta. And even though EDG lost against ThunderTalk Gaming (1-2) on Tuesday and barely made it past Team WE (2-1) and Ultra Prime (2-1), Uzi and company are priced as 1.12 favourites with esports betting sites to take down LGD Gaming.
LGD Gaming have the worst record in the league (2-10) and have yet to find any traction this split. However, they picked up a huge 2-0 win against Team WE on Monday, and they didn’t look too bad against Bilibili Gaming (0-2) and Oh My God (1-2) a week prior.
This is not an attempt to sell LDG Gaming as a better team than EDward Gaming. But at the offered LoL betting odds and considering how shaky EDG have been, we have to side with LGD Gaming to win at least one map.

Weibo Gaming are very similar to EDward Gaming as a team that shouldn’t be trusted as strong favourites.
That’s not to say that Weibo Gaming are weak, but they lack consistency and discipline – evident from their games against lesser teams.
Ultra Prime are amid a very rough schedule, which started in the middle of LPL 2023 Summer Week 4 when they had to play LNG Esports (0-2). Since then, Ultra Prime have played against EDward Gaming (1-2), JD Gaming (0-2), and Oh My God (0-2). But even though UP have lost all four games, they’ve looked decent.
We know that Weibo Gaming like to play down, which makes Ultra Prime with a map advantage a good bet. The offered LoL betting odds are way too high not to consider backing UP, especially if they get side choice.

Top Esports are 9-4 and already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, but they still have a lot of work to do to finish the season inside the top-four. Oh My God are in a very similar spot with eight victories (8-3) and will need this win just as much as Top Esports.
Oh My God and Top Esports are decent teams with strong performance metrics and good results, but they can also be hit-or-miss. Both have produced a few bad games against weaker teams and on other days, looked good against top squads.
This match will come down to which team will step up on the day, but even though OMG can win, it’s tough to bet against Top Esports, who haven’t struggled against any team but Bilibili Gaming and JDG. Still, consistency is an issue, so we’re taking over 2.5 maps.
