League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2025 season kicks off on Saturday, January 18, with the first five LEC 2025 Winter fixtures. Here are our LoL betting previews for Week 1 games with esports odds courtesy of the best betting sites for gamblers from United States.

TEAM HERETICS vs ROGUE LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: TH -144.93 at BetOnline | Rogue +106 at BetOnline
When: January 18, 2025 | 18:00 CET
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Rogue made four roster changes during the offseason, the most notable being the arrival of top laner Adam “Adam” Maanane and the return of jungler Kim “Malrang” Geun-seong, who helped Rogue win the LEC trophy in 2022.

Heretics fully revamped their lineup, changing everyone except ADC Víctor “Flakked” Lirola Tortosa, who will team up with four rookies. While this direction gives Heretics room to grow and improve, it will not do them any wonders early in the season.

Rogue’s new roster is a bit unpredictable, mainly due to Adam’s volatility and because there is no telling how well Malrang will do after spending the last season with KaBuM! Esports. Still, even with that uncertainty, Rogue has at least field-proven players and should not be priced as underdogs for this match.

TEAM VITALITY vs TEAM BDS LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Vitality +150 at BetOnline | BDS -208.33 at BetOnline
When: January 18, 2025 | 18:45 CET
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Team BDS are one of the more hyped-up teams heading into LEC 2025. They added three new players for the season, including a new top lane, Joel “Irrelevant” Scharoll, support Polat “Parus” Çiçek, and jungler Doğukan “113” Balcı. While great additions, altering the support-jungle duo will also change the team’s dynamic—likely for the worse.

Individually, Team BDS look good, but as a unit, they might not gel together as well as expected.

Team Vitality kept their volatile bot lane and promoted two players, mid laner Mateusz “Czajek” Czajka and top laner Kaan “Naak Nako” Okan, forming a promising lineup with potential to grow.

Team Vitality are a bit of an enigma with two rookies. However, at +150, against a team of mediocre players, they are underrated.

GIANTX vs SK GAMING LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: GX -163.93 at BetOnline | SK +121 at BetOnline
When: January 18, 2025 | 19:30 CET
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

GIANTX acquired Fnatic’s former bottom lane duo and added a new top side with jungler Can “Closer” Çelik and promising top lane rookie Eren “Lot” Yıldız. While they do not field any LEC superstars, GIANTX are solid all-round and should be one of the more stable teams in the league.

SK Gaming replaced their support, mid laner, and top laner but hardly made any upgrades. The three new arrivals are serviceable but at best sidegrades. Most notably, SK lost Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer and with that a very stable mid laner, which could backfire.

GIANTX are rightly priced as favourites, but even at this number, they are undervalued. SK Gaming have downgraded their roster, whereas GIANTX made all the necessary changes to compete for top spots.

MOVISTAR KOI vs FNATIC LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: KOI +138 at BetOnline | Fnatic -188.68 at BetOnline
When: January 18, 2025 | 20:15 CET
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

Fnatic enter another season as the main threat to G2 Esports’ title hopes. They replaced their bottom lane, swapping two rising talents with veteran players, Elias “Upset” Lipp and Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, who should significantly improve Fnatic’s chances to perform internationally.

Movistar KOI (formerly MAD Lions KOI) kept their Spanish core intact, adding former Cloud9 mid laner Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun, who should fit in well. This team’s biggest strength in 2024 was their superb team play, and if Movistar KOI can implement Jojopyun early, they will be a scary opponent.

While Movistar KOI have the potential to be great, it is hard to make a case against Fnatic, who should be much more stable with new coach Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann.

KARMINE CORP vs G2 ESPORTS LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: KC +135 at BetOnline | G2 -185.19 at BetOnline
When: January 18, 2025 | 21:00 CET
Watch Live: Lolesports, Twitch

G2 Esports kept their core for the 2025 season and added a proven support, Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis, and promising rookie jungler Rudy “SkewMond” Semaan. Even with the changes, G2 Esports will remain one of the league’s top teams, although some early struggles are expected until the two arrivals adapt to the new environment.

Karmine Corp built a very scary roster for the 2025 season, headlined by their rookie ADC Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert and Martin “Yike” Sundelin as a new jungler. Like GIANTX, KC have a well-rounded lineup that should do more than fine this season.

G2 Esports are rightly priced as favourites on the best LoL betting sites. But the new and improved Karmine Corp in a best-of-one are a more appealing bet.
