Koalanoob departs Natus Vincere VALORANT team

The Canadian player is looking for a new home after a difficult six-month stint with NAVI in the VCT.

Natus Vincere have announced the departure of GianFranco “koalanoob” Potestio, three weeks after he was removed from their active VALORANT lineup.

Koalanoob joined Natus Vincere from M80 in December 2024 as one of three new arrivals, alongside Emirhan “hiro” Kat and Uğur “Ruxic” Güç.

However, the new roster, featuring mostly unproven players, has not found much success.

Natus Vincere started the 2025 season with a last-place finish in the Kickoff event, where koalanoob averaged a 0.88 performance rating.

The Canadian player and NAVI showed more in VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025 EMEA Stage 1 but still failed to meet expectations.

After a promising start to Stage 1, koalanoob and co. crashed out of the playoffs in the lower-bracket quarterfinals and missed their chance to qualify for VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025.

Despite the underwhelming placement, koalanoob ended VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 with a 0.99 performance rating and a 1.00 kills-deaths ratio.

Koalanoob ends his six-month stay at NAVI with a 0.96 average — a noticeable dip from his performances with M80, whom he helped reach the finals of VCT Ascension Americas 2024 while posting the tournament’s fourth-highest rating (1.10).

The 22-year-old leaving the roster marks the first change for Natus Vincere ahead of Stage 2, but it is unclear whether more departures are lined up.

With four players on the active lineup, NAVI have just under three weeks to assemble a roster before the start of VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2. The season continues on July 16.
