JD Gaming will face off against Anyone’s Legend in the fourth round of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2025 Split 1 Playoffs on Tuesday, marking their first clash of the season.
JD Gaming did not perform well during the group stage, suggesting that this new-look roster needs more time to gel. Nevertheless, Lee “Scout” Ye-chan did managed a convincing 3-1 win against ThunderTalk Gaming.
TT Gaming had their moments, but JD Gaming’s individual talent made all the difference. That, combined with well-executed teamfights, earned JDG a win and a bit more respect as they head into the penultimate round of the playoffs.
Anyone’s Legend edged past Ninjas in Pyjamas on Saturday in a game that could’ve easily gone the other way. But while the fixture was close, Anyone’s Legend looked more dominant in their wins and were not crushed in the losses.
With so many roster changes across the top Chinese LoL esports teams, most of the games featuring LPL’s top dogs were close to coin-flips, and the same applies here.
JD Gaming have a higher ceiling, but that means very little so early into the season. Admittedly, Anyone’s Legend have yet to show their full form and still have some work to do, but they have show stabler performances throughout the split.
Top LoL betting sites have Anyone’s Legend priced at +137, which is good enough to make a case for them. There is a world where JD Gaming shift into a higher gear and steamroll Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong and company, their early game is not nearly as good as Anyone’s Legend, who are good at converting their leads.
