After eliminating Weibo Gaming from the LoL Pro League (LPL) 2025 Regional Finals, JD Gaming will face Invictus Gaming on Saturday, September 27, for a spot at the LoL World Championship.
Invictus Gaming and JD Gaming met twice during the LPL Split 3, with both games ending in 2-0 sweeps for Song “Rookie” Eui-jin. The rematch is expected to end in another Invictus Gaming victory, who are $1.53 favorites on the best LoL betting sites.
JD Gaming have not looked like themselves in the summer split, but they have had some outstanding games, namely their two victories against Weibo Gaming in the playoffs and the lower bracket semifinal of the Regional Finals. Their loss to Anyone’s Legend was not as bad as it looked, but a lot came down to AL making errors.
The big issue with JD Gaming is that they do not create their own advantages. Instead they gain leads by picking up their
opponents’ mistakes.
Invictus Gaming enter this match off a very poor showing against Top Esports in the upper bracket final. They showed more on the final two maps, but IG were too passive on the first two, and were unable to close the gap.
Before the loss to TES, Invictus Gaming also failed to impress against Bilibili Gaming and Anyone’s Legend in the playoffs, and are now on a streak of three concerning showings.
Despite having a much higher ceiling, Invictus Gaming have looked bad against elite competition over the last few weeks.
Both teams have their flaws; however, form-wise, JD Gaming are in a better spot. The outsiders are worth a bet at these prices.
