IEM Katowice 2025 Stage 2 groups & matches set

Following the conclusion of Stage 1 at Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2025 on January 31, the first round of Stage 2 matchups have been determined, setting the stage for an action-packed competition.

Stage 1 featured 16 Counter-Strike 2 teams in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches, where eight teams secured spots in Stage 2.

Four teams advanced through the upper bracket, while four battled their way through the lower bracket.

Eternal Fire secured victories over Complexity and HEROIC, while 3DMAX swept FlyQuest and MIBR.

GamerLegion outplayed SAW and paiN Gaming, while FURIA Esports defeated Imperial fe and Wildcard Gaming.

In the lower bracket, Team Liquid bounced back with wins against Complexity and Wildcard.

Virtus.pro dominated SAW and MIBR, while BIG took down Imperial fe and HEROIC.

Astralis fought past FlyQuest and swept paiN Gaming to secure their spot in the next phase.

IEM Katowice Stage 2 groups

Stage 2, running from February 1-5, follows a double-elimination format and features the eight Stage 1 teams alongside some of the world’s top-ranked squads, including Team Spirit, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Team Vitality, FaZe Clan, The MongolZ, MOUZ, and Team Falcons.

Each match will be a best-of-three series, with the top three teams from each group moving on to the playoffs.

The group winners will advance directly to the semifinals; the second-place teams will enter the quarterfinals as high seeds, while the third-place teams will enter as low seeds.

The first round of Stage 2 begins on February 1, featuring exciting matchups such as Falcons facing Eternal Fire, where Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will make his LAN debut with Falcons.

Vitality will go up against 3DMAX, while FaZe will take on BIG, marking Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski’s LAN debut for FaZe.

The next day, world number one Team Spirit will take on Astralis in a highly anticipated rematch of the BLAST Premier World Finals semifinals.
