HEET did not succeed in upsetting Team Spirit (1-2) in the second round of the upper bracket, but their quest for the ESL trophy continues on Tuesday when the French squad meets with Sangal Esports. It will mark the first clash between the two CS:GO teams, and according to the latest CS:GO betting odds, it should be pretty one-sided.
HEET have not achieved much over the last couple of months, but their strong showing against Team Spirit has raised their stock. One good showing doesn’t change the fact that HEET aren’t a top-tier team, but they’re still competitive and in much better shape than Sangal.
Sangal Esports enter this match on a seven-game losing streak, which includes defeats against Websterz (1-2), UNGENTIUM (1-2), and Monte (0-2), which is hardly inspiring. On a more positive note, Sangal have a better map win% than HEET on four of seven maps in the rotation, but those figures are a bit skewed because Sangal have recently been playing against weaker squads.
HEET are not a team you would trust to produce any outstanding results, but this is a game they should win convincingly.

9INE lost their tournament opener against forZe (1-2) but then bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of the shaky Team Falcons to book a spot in the third round of the lower bracket. Their next opponents, ECSTATIC, lost their opening match against Entropiq (1-2) and then collected a forfeit win against Eternal Fire.
Since ECSTATIC didn’t fight for a spot in the third round, it makes sense that they’re viewed as the underdogs, but there’s more to that. ECSTATIC are 2-7 across their last nine outings, with their only wins coming against Falcons (2-0) and Prosapia (2-0).
So even though ECSTATIC are 1-0 up in the head-to-head (2-0 in October 2022), their recent form suggests that this match will play out much differently. We’re siding with 9INE on the moneyline, and will steer clear of any handicap bets, mainly due to their shaky map pool.
9INE to win

K23 slipped against HEET (0-2) in the first round but then bounced back with a convincing sweep (16-9, 16-9) of SINNERS Esports. It marked their sixth victory over an eight-game stretch, but K23 have since lost two in a row against forZe (0-2) and VP.Prodigy (0-2).
Consistency isn’t K23’s strongest trait, but they should be in a good spot to defeat Permettia Esports, who only seem to know how to play on Mirage (80% win rate), with a negative win rate on the remaining six maps. Still, their ability to deliver on a single map – which is K23’s weakest (33% win rate) – might be enough to force a close series.
K23 should win, but their poor form and inconsistent showings leave us open to the idea that the Polish squad can do some damage. Over 2.5 maps at around even money is the way to go.

Ex-Finest lost the first match of the tournament against the high-flying SAW (0-2) and followed that up by beating EPG Family (2-1) in one of the longest CS:GO series in history, needing 71 rounds on Overpass (37-34) to edge out a win.
Ex-Finest didn’t win that match convincingly but being able to win games like that shows quality. Their next opponents, Fnatic Rising, had a similar experience: losing their tournament opener (0-2 vs forZe) and then needing overtime to defeat AGO (2-1) in the first round of the lower bracket.
Since that victory, Fnatic Rising have not played a single official match, but they lost Peppe “Peppzor” Borak, who left the team on Thursday. This leaves a huge void in Fnatic Rising’s roster, which is now without its best player and with no officially confirmed substitutions.
Given Fnatic Rising’s situation, we have to side with ex-Finest to get it done in two maps.
