Epic Games has cancelled the Fortnite Reload Performance Evaluation in Asia and Oceania due to a bug that caused bots to fill up lobbies.

The announcement was made on the official Fortnite Status X account, explaining that Epic Games is working on resolving the issue.

It appears only the Oceanian and Asian servers are affected by the bug. Still, there is no official confirmation on whether or not the cancelled Reload Performance Evaluation events will be rescheduled.

Reload Performance Evaluation is not a part of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS), but was instead formed to test the tournament system and game performance at the highest level of competition for the latest update: Fortnite Reload.

Chapter 6 Season 2: Reload Performance Evaluation events were scheduled to be held across three Sessions in Europe, North America Central, North America West, Brazil, Asia, Middle East, and Oceania.

Each event features 20 squads of two players who battle it out over four matches for a share of the US$3,200 prize pool, with $800 awarded to the winner of each game.

Fortnite Reload is a new twist on the traditional battle royale game, featuring 40 players (instead of 100) who battle it out on a smaller map.

Besides a smaller number of players, Reload also includes a reboot mechanic, which automatically respawns fallen players as long as a member of their squad is still alive. This mechanic is disabled towards the end game.

This is not the first time Epic Games has had to cancel the tournament.

In November, North American Reload Performance Evaluation Sessions 1-4 were shut down due to technical issues causing maps to merge.
