Double Poney won their tournament opener against 777 Esports last week and are now only two wins short of qualifying for the playoffs. The French squad played well on the day, although they gave up 22 rounds across the series (16-12 on Overpass, 16-10 on Vertigo).

Team Fiend enter this match off a 2-0 sweep of Lyngby Vikings, who they beat on Thursday with 19-17 on Nuke and 16-5 on Dust II. It marked their first win after a streak of three losses, having since faced OPAA Gaming (2-0), Team Unique (1-2), and ESuba (2-0).

Fiend last met with DBL Poney in July, when they won 2-0, with 16-4 on Dust II and 16-6 on Overpass. The French side should do better and win at least one map, but we wouldn’t count on them winning the contest.

SINNERS ESPORTS vs APEKS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Last week, Sinners Esports suffered a shock loss against GORILLAZ with 11-16 on Nuke, 16-10 on Overpass, and 14-16 on Mirage. It was a close affair, although that’s hardly an excuse since the Czechs were priced as -416.67 favourites.

Regardless of that defeat, we’re not ready to give up on Sinners. This is still no.22 team in the world and the same group of players who went 13-1-2 across their last 16 outings.

Apeks made an ambitious roster change in June with the addition of Asger “AcilioN” Larsen as their in-game leader. So far, however, the Scandinavian squad is yet to produce anything noteworthy. They’re 1-7 across their last eight outings, while their best tournament placement since April is runner-up at Pelaajat.com Series Fall 2021.

Apeks can have their moments, but this game is Sinners’ to lose.
