EA Sports FC is set to headline the 2025 Esports World Cup with its Pro World Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Scheduled from July 31 to August 10, this season-ending spectacle features an enhanced format, including a last-chance qualifier also held in Riyadh.
The last-chance qualifiers will host up to 512 players vying for spots in the 48-player play-in tournament. From there, 32 finalists will compete for the coveted title of EA Sports FC World Champion, with an expanded prize pool of USD$1.5 million.
This year marks EA FC’s debut at the Esports World Cup, following the standalone success of EA Sports FC 24 in 2024, which drew stable viewership numbers and featured a $1 million prize pool.
Notably, the FC 24 Pro Open qualifiers peaked at 339,988 viewers, as reported by Esports Charts.
In addition to football, EA’s presence at the Esports World Cup extends to Apex Legends, with the Midseason Playoffs set at Riyadh’s Battle Royale Stage in Boulevard City from July 10 to 13, 2025.
This marks the first time the Apex Legends esports circuit ventures into the Middle East.
