Team Falcons and Team Vitality are set for a blockbuster rematch in the BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 grand final after both teams swept their semifinal opponents in dominant fashion.

The Counter-Strike 2 sides met just a week ago in the IEM Melbourne decider and now prepare to square off again, with both squads riding waves of form into tomorrow’s best-of-five finale.

Falcons continued their rapid rise with another clinical performance, this time against MOUZ.

Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski’s team has now reached three consecutive grand finals, two of them with Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov in the lineup.

After surviving a scare on Nuke—MOUZ’s pick—where they edged out a 16-14 overtime win thanks to clutch rounds and a low-buy comeback, Falcons put the foot down on Dust2.

Backed by standout performances from m0NESY and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, the European mix raced to a 13-6 win and their second straight clean sweep over MOUZ, this time in Europe following their earlier win in Melbourne.

Vitality, meanwhile, continue to rewrite history.

Their 2-0 demolition of Team Spirit (13-8 on Mirage, 13-9 on Nuke) extended their winning streak to 24 matches—surpassing Team Liquid’s 2019 run—and moved them into sole possession of the second-longest streak in Counter-Strike history, behind only the legendary 60-game streak of the Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Dan “apEX” Madesclaire’s side is now eyeing a fifth consecutive title as their dominance in 2025 shows no signs of slowing.

Spirit, the reigning Shanghai Major champions, once again found themselves unable to match Vitality’s cohesion or star power.

Mirage saw Spirit trail 1-11 at the half, with apEX, William “mezii” Merriman, and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut leading the charge.

Despite a brief resurgence in the second half, Spirit never truly threatened.

Nuke followed a similar pattern—moments of life from Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Boris “magixx” Vorobiev gave hope, but Vitality’s superior mid-round decisions and economy control sealed the series.

ApEx, who revealed he was unwell post-match, praised the team’s unity and work ethic.

“I don’t know what’s going on with this team since the start of the year, but I have insane players,” he said.

“We’re grinding hard, and it’s showing. Another final—fifth in a row—maybe another trophy.”

With a rematch of IEM Melbourne now confirmed, all eyes are on whether Falcons can break Vitality’s stranglehold and take revenge—or if Vitality will extend their unbeaten run and cement one of the greatest streaks in Counter-Strike history.
