Atlanta FaZe have announced the departure of Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris from their active Call of Duty League roster after a six-year tenure with the squad.

Atlanta FaZe announced major offseason roster news on Friday, releasing Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris, who leaves the storied Call of Duty team after six illustrious years.
Widely considered one of the greatest CoD players of all time, aBeZy joined Atlanta FaZe in October 2019 as a part of the team’s inaugural Call of Duty League roster.

After winning the Call of Duty World League Championship just months prior to signing for FaZe, aBeZy has continued making waves in the new professional CoD league and played an important role in helping FaZe establish themselves as one of the best squads in the world.
While the debut season ended with a painful grand finals loss to Dallas Empire, aBeZy won his first CDL title in 2021, adding another silver medal the following season, when FaZe had to admit defeat to Los Angeles Thieves at the Galen Center, in Los Angeles.
In his third year with FaZe, aBeZy suffered another bittersweet ending to the season, ending with a bronze medal from the CDL 2023 Playoffs. That was the final time Atlanta FaZe would finish a CDL season on the podium.
The last two years highlighted the downfall of FaZe, who had to settle for a fifth-sixth place finish in the last two CDL Championships.
A failed attempt to win the CDL trophy this season, followed by an abysmal display at the Esports World Cup (ninth-12th), led to a major roster overhaul.
At the end of July, Atlanta FaZe released McArthur “Cellium” Jovel and Zachary “Drazah” Jordan before announcing aBeZy as a restricted free agent.

Now, less than a month later, the 2021 world champions announced aBeZy’s departure with a short video, where the 25-year-old shared his thoughts and the journey he experienced over the last six years.
The two-time CoD world champion and Esports World Cup 2024 winner leaving FaZe is massive news for the CDL offseason, as the veteran SMG has now become a prime target for many squads.
While there are no confirmations yet, Toronto Ultra are reportedly interested in signing aBeZy and pairing him with Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero. However, his most likely home for the 2026 season are the Los Angeles Thieves, who are looking to create a scary SMG duo with Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez.
