CHECKMATE and w2c will clash on Tuesday in the semi-finals of the Funspark Rivals Pre-Season Stage 1. It will mark their first meeting since the third week of December when CHECKMATE swept w2c (2-0) at the Hyperion x OEL CS:GO Launch: Asian Qualifier #2.
It’s hard to say which team is in better form due to their shaky showings during the group stage. CHECKMATE edged past Huat Zai (2-1) and Let’s Quit (2-1), whereas w2c narrowly beat After Gaming (2-0) and ZIGMA (2-0). Esports betting sites have priced Checkmate as a heavy favourite.
