The final round of Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Major 4 Week 1 begins on Sunday, May 4, when Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 take on the surging Miami Heretics and Cloud9 New York look to upset Toronto Ultra, ahead of a clash of two titans, Atlanta FaZe and Los Angeles Thieves. Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 are in 11th place in the CDL 2025 season standings, with just four victories and 30 CDL points. This situation will unlikely improve anytime soon, as the Guerillas have recently been playing like the worst team in the league, losing nine straight games with a 5-27 map record.
While LAGM are trending downwards, Miami Heretics have recently found traction and placed fourth in CDL 2025 Major 3. Even in the recent online stage, Heretics performed well, winning four of five games played.
There is very little to analyse here. Even though Miami Heretics are not one of the top three teams in the league, they’re a class above LA Guerrillas M8, who have done nothing to convince us they will stand a chance on Sunday.

Toronto Ultra placed third in the recent Major, repeating their success from CDL 2025 Major 2. The Toronto outfit also looked good in the past two online stages, with a combined record of 9-3.
While Toronto Ultra are gaining momentum, Cloud9 New York are moving in the opposite direction, having recently ended their worst stage of the season – with a 1-4 record in the Major 3 qualifiers and a last-place finish in Boca Raton.
It comes as no surprise that the best CoD betting sites have Toronto Ultra priced as favourites. The only question is whether Tobias “CleanX” Jønsson and co. can get it done in three.

Los Angeles Thieves took over as the league’s top dogs by winning CDL 2025 Major 3, and according to the latest betting odds, they are expected to have an easy time against Atlanta FaZe on Sunday.
FaZe have been struggling on respawns of late – which led to their early elimination (fifth-sixth) from Major 3. But it would not be shocking if FaZe end up bouncing back in the final stage of the season and find their old form.
LA Thieves have already proven everything they can, and it is on FaZe to show they can fix their issues and perform as well as we know they can. But without seeing them produce a few good games, it is hard to go against the league’s hottest team.
