BLAST have confirmed that the BLAST Open Spring event will be held at the Rotterdam Ahoy Arena from March 27-29 in 2026.

Counter-Strike 2 tournament organizer, BLAST, have announced that their Open Spring event will head to Rotterdam, Netherlands, in 2026. Set to take place at Rotterdam Ahoy Arena from March 27-29, the three-day tournament will feature 16 CS2 teams vying for the lion’s share of the US$1,100,000 prize pool.

The mouthwatering prize pool is divided into $700,000 of team payments and $400,000 in prize money. The first stage will be held at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, before the final six teams head to the Netherlands to battle for the crown.
BLAST Open Spring 2026 will mark the first BLAST Open event to be hosted fully on LAN after the tournament organizers decided to divide the tournament series into online qualifiers and LAN finals throughout 2025. Of the 16 participating squads, 12 will receive invites through the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). The remaining four will fight for their tickets via online qualifiers.
As the first-ever BLAST event in the Netherlands, BLAST Open Rotterdam will return to the Rotterdam Ahoy Arena, which previously hosted ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 and DreamHack Open Rotterdam 2019.
“We are proud and thrilled to bring BLAST Premier to the Netherlands for the very first time,” said Rense van Kessel, co-founder of Friendly Fire.
“As the country’s largest international esports event to date, it showcases top-tier competition and highlights the growing cultural impact of esports – marking a major milestone for the industry and for fans in the Netherlands.”
With the announcement of BLAST Open Spring 2026, the competitive schedule for the next season now features 26 S-tier events. That excludes the three canceled YaLLa Compass tournaments due to the tournament organizer’s bankruptcy.
The year is slated to begin with BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 on January 23. The 2026 Counter-Strike 2 season is shaping up nicely, with all eyes currently on the LAN Finals of BLAST Open Fall, which starts on Friday, September 5.
