GAM Esports lost their first match of Demacia Cup Global Invitational against the potent Team WE, while Team Vitality slipped against BNK FEARX. Neither team had an easy opponent in the first round, so it remains to be seen how they’ll stack up against easier opposition.
GAM Esports are no longer the same powerhouse they were in 2022-2025, having struggled to keep up with other LoL Championship Pacific teams this split. They’ve also changed their style of play, now relying more on scaling than the hyper aggression GAM used to be known for.
Team Vitality are a bit of an enigma, as they had an amazing run through the LoL EMEA Championship summer split, up until the playoffs. But despite the bittersweet fifth-place finish in LEC Summer, Vitality have shown they can challenge LEC’s top teams.
The best LoL bookmakers have Team Vitality listed as -526.32 favorites to defeat GAM, which does not sound wrong. While Vitality are not the most reliable team, they have shown much higher highs in the summer split.

Natus Vincere finished LEC Summer in fourth place, narrowly missing a spot in the LoL World Championship. FlyQuest found themselves in a similar spot, finishing LoL Championship Series Summer in fifth place after a close loss to Shopify Rebellion.
While neither team shone brightly in their respective leagues, FlyQuest have stood out with their performances. But not for the right reasons.
FlyQuest were a very competitive team earlier in the season, but lost all momentum in the summer split and have been very underwhelming outside of a few flashes of greatness. Natus Vincere have been less up-and-down, and a stable mid-table team in Europe, who have been competitive against stronger opponents and very efficient against weaker squads.
FlyQuest are billed as favorites for this match, which does not make much sense unless they find their form from the spring split. FLY have shown a higher ceiling, but have been mediocre at most over the last two months, making NAVI a more reliable pick.
Natus Vincere to win
Shopify Rebellion edged their way to a fourth-place finish in LCS Summer, after beating Sentinels and FlyQuest in the playoffs. While an accomplishment for their standards, SR have been a tier below LCS’s best teams, and are not one of the names that pop up when talking about teams with potential to make a run at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational.
JD Gaming field two new players for the tournament, with Xiang “Angel” Tao standing in for Tsai “hongQ” Ming-hong and Fang “Xiaofang” Zheyu for Yu “JunJia” Chun-chia. Changing two players is not optimal and does bump JD Gaming down a bit. However, even with that, JD Gaming are an elite roster, who not long ago found a lot of success in LoL Pro League.
JD Gaming did not have the best start to the tournament, losing to BRION. But BRION are an entirely different beast to Shopify Rebellion, who are arguably one of the weakest teams JD Gaming will have faced this season.
