Today we are looking at Group D match between Danish giants Astralis and a European mix known as HellRaisers. The match will take place in Leicester, United Kingdom at 18:20 CET on April 24.

This won’t be either team’s first match at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Europe, as Astralis will take on ex-3DMAX, while HellRaisers will battle it out with BIG Clan a day prior to this match.

Astralis are coming into this match in an amazing form, winning 11 out of 15 tournaments they played at, including the last two Majors in London 2018 and Katowice 2019. Astralis started their 2019 campaign by attending iBUYPOWER Master IV, an event filled by delays and issues. They easily topped their group and manage to reach the finals, where they were defeated by the home team, Team Liquid.

As for their Major campaign, they easily cruised to the playoffs with wins against compLexity Gaming, Cloud9 and Renegades. Later they faced off against Ninjas in Pyjamas and MiBR, defeating both teams 2-0. In the finals they faced a finish team ENCE, which they dispatched with ease, thus winning the Katowice Major 2019.

Astralis most recent LAN tournament, BLAST Pro Series Miami 2019, was quite disappointing for the Danish powerhouse. They played a total of five matches, all BO1, winning two matches against Cloud9 (16-10 on Inferno) and Natus Vincere (16-7 on Inferno), while losing to FaZe Clan (16-5 on Dust 2), Team Liquid (16-14 on Overpass) and MiBR (16-2 on Overpass). They finished fifth, taking home only $10,000 out of $250,000 USD prize pool.

HellRaisers have made a number of roster changes in 2019. It all started on March 8th, when Magician became their new CEO. A couple of days later they lost their star AWP player Özgür “woxic” Eker to mousesports, but managed to sign Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný and Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov, at that time HellRaisers also benched Bence “DeadFox” Böröcz. In April they signed Christian “loWel” Garcia Antoran and Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas, while they put Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov on the transfer list.

As for their most recent tournament, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 Europe Closed Qualifier, we have to go back to the 22.3.2019. The finished at fifth place, winning against ex-3DMAX and losing two matches against G2 and Valiance.

There are no recent matches played between these two teams, so there is not a lot to analyse here. All we can say about the recent changes these teams went through is that Astralis started losing matches (three in a row), while HellRaisers added new faces to their lineups.

Astralis v HellRaisers winning and betting predictions

Looking at the odds, Astralis are heavily favoured to win the match, priced around 1.10 for an outright win, while HellRaisers can be found as high as 7.30, which underrates them a bit. There is no way of knowing how Astralis will react to their loss of form, while I do believe HellRaisers should be pumped to finally test their new roster in a LAN environment. All in all, the match should end with Astralis winning, however their subpar form and high motivation among the HellRaisers team should be enough for the Ukrainians to win at least one map.

Take HellRaisers to win at least one map against Astralis.
