The first match of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2026 Split 1 lower bracket quarterfinals will see Weibo Gaming clash with Top Esports in what promises to be an entertaining affair between two squads who’ve yet to find their footing.

Weibo Gaming enter this match following a tough 0-3 loss against Bilibili Gaming in the upper bracket semifinals, whereas Top Esports are fresh off a 3-0 sweep of Team WE.

TES’ last game was not close, although Team WE have proven time and time again that they do not have what it takes to compete against LPL’s top dogs. Despite the victory, Top Esports hardly deserve much praise for that dominant display.

Weibo Gaming, on the other hand, had to play one of China’s top squads, so despite suffering a blowout loss, they deserve some slack.

Weibo Gaming and Top Esports have both been mediocre this season. While stronger than teams from Group Perseverance and Nirvana, neither have caught up with BLG, JD Gaming, and Anyone’s Legend as the main title contenders.

Top Esports haven’t been clean, but they have had some good showings, namely the upper bracket clash with JD Gaming.

They’ve also had a few stinkers – so much like Weibo Gaming, TES have been hot-and-cold.

The best LoL betting sites have Weibo Gaming priced as -151.52 favorites, but there is little to support that number. They looked very shaky in the first two games against Invictus Gaming in the first round of the playoffs, and it is fair to argue that IG are weaker than Top Esports.

Meanwhile, despite not performing admirably well this split, Lin “Creme” Jian and his crew have played well in their last two outings against JD Gaming and Team WE. So, while there is little to separate the two teams quality-wise, TES are in better shape.

The last meeting between these two teams, on January 19, ended in a closely fought 2-1 victory for Top Esports. Another tight game is likely on the cards, making TES a better choice at outsider odds.
