Paper Rex and Fnatic kept their perfect records alive by dismantling their upper bracket quarterfinal opponents in three maps.
Paper Rex played a highly competitive game against VCT Americas’ top dogs, G2 Esports, and won with 13-11 on Lotus, 13-15 on Corrode, and 13-11 on Ascent. Fnatic’s last fixture was not as close, as they made it past DRX with 13-11 on Haven, 8-11 on Ascent, and 13-5 on Lotus.
Fnatic and Paper Rex last faced off at the Esports World Cup 2025, when Fnatic edged out a 2-1 win. The meeting before that, during VALORANT Masters Toronto, ended in a 3-1 victory for Paper Rex.
Since then, Paper Rex have not changed much. They dominated VCT Pacific Stage 2 and have looked very sharp in Paris. Fnatic, on the other hand, had a rough showing in the second stage, but have found their footing at VALORANT Champions with three straight wins.
There is little to separate the two teams. Even though Paper Rex have been producing better results for longer, Fnatic are catching up. At best, this is a 50/50 game.

MIBR turned many heads by making it through Group B, beating Rex Regum Qeon and Bilibili Gaming and producing a competitive game against Fnatic. NRG topped Group C, albeit with two close victories against EDward Gaming and DRX.
In the first round of the playoffs, MIBR disposed of the high-flying Team Heretics with 14-12 on Corrode and 13-6 on Sunset. Arthur “artzin” Araujo was the star of the show, with a 1.43 performance rating, while Erick “aspas” Santos took a step back from carrying his team and ended the game with 1.19.
NRG did not struggle in their opening game of the knockout stage, and that is saying it lightly. They ran over GIANTX with 13-1 on Haven and 13-6 on Lotus. After such a display, it is easy to see why the best VALORANT betting sites have NRG priced as favourites to defeat MIBR.
Ethan “Ethan” Arnold and his crew are much better on Lotus (88% vs 0%), and their Abyss (100%) is in a very good spot. Meanwhile, MIBR excel on Sunset (100%), and have a better figure on Bind (67% vs 33%), while holding a respectable 1-1 record on Abyss. Both teams are 100% on Corrode.
This is shaping up to be a close game. MIBR have the tools to win, but at $1.83, taking over 2.5 maps is the right call.
