We take a look at the week ahead in esports and the highlight events for September 22-28, with VALORANT Champions 2025 maintaining center stage.

Another week of esports will kick off on Monday, September 22, 2025, with VALORANT retaining the spotlight.

The headline event over the next seven days is VALORANT Champions Paris, as the top eight teams kick off their playoff campaigns.

Starting on September 28, Stage 1 of ESL Pro League Season 22 is scheduled to run through October 2.

Meanwhile, the last of the League of Legends regional splits will conclude at the end of this week, with the Korean, European, and Americas grand finals set for the weekend.


The VALORANT Champions 2025 group stage ends Monday, with the final two series taking place inside Les Arenes.

After groups, the $2,250,000 event moves into the playoff stage, where eight qualified squads will battle through a double-elimination bracket.

Paper Rex, GIANTX, Fnatic, NRG, DRX and Team Heretics have already advanced to the playoffs. The final two spots will be claimed by the winners of the T1 vs G2 and MIBR vs RRQ matches.

Season 22 of the ESL Pro League will kick off with Stage 1, as 16 Counter-Strike 2 teams begin their campaigns in Stockholm, Sweden.

Of the 16 squads, eight of them will advance to Stage 2 and join the eight directly qualified teams in the main event.

With three series left in the LEC, Fnatic will meet Karmine Corp, and the winner will play KOI for a spot in the grand final. G2 Esports awaits the finalist.

In the LTA Championship, Keyd Stars and 100 Thieves meet in Saturday’s lower-bracket final, with the victor advancing to play FlyQuest in Sunday’s grand final.
