CS2: MIBR bench saffee, add kl1m on loan from G2

MIBR have moved veteran AWPer Rafael “saffee” Costa to the bench as part of a major Counter-Strike 2 roster shake-up.

The decision comes after a disappointing stretch of results in 2025 and marks the team’s second roster change since the post-BLAST.tv Austin Major break. Earlier, the organization replaced Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves with Nicollas “nicks” Polonio in hopes of stabilizing performances.

Saffee joined MIBR in June 2023 following an 18-month stint with FURIA Esports and enjoyed early success, winning ESL Challenger Melbourne, MEO XL Cup, and the RES Latin American Series. He also helped the team reach the top four at ESL Pro League Season 20 and represented MIBR at both the Perfect World Shanghai Major and BLAST.tv Austin Major.

However, his individual numbers dropped sharply in 2025 — from a 1.07 rating last year to 0.96 this season — as the team struggled to build around Felipe “insani” Yuji’s strong performances.

Despite adding nicks in July, MIBR’s struggles persisted with a 9th-12th finish at FISSURE Playground #1 and early exits at IEM Cologne and BLAST Bounty Season 2. Saffee posted a 0.87 rating across those events, ranking third on the team.

In response, MIBR have brought in 19-year-old Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev on loan, marking a bold shift toward an international lineup.

The Russian prospect impressed with G2 Ares this year, averaging a 1.21 rating and excelling in both opening duels and clutch situations. His arrival mirrors FURIA’s recent move to integrate CIS talent, signaling a new era for Brazilian Counter-Strike.

Saffee remains benched while exploring his next move as MIBR prepare for ESL Challenger League Cup #2, FERJEE Rush 2025, and the CS Asia Championship in the lead-up to the StarLadder Budapest Major.
