The League of Legends World Championship 2024 playoffs kick off on Thursday, October 17, as Weibo Gaming clash with LNG Esports in a rematch from the LoL Pro League (LPL) 2024 Regional Finals.
LNG Esports have won three of the past five meetings and swept Weibo Gaming 3-0 at the end of August. The head-to-head stats play into the price offered by the top LoL betting sites, but more importantly, LNG also have a better record at LoL Worlds 2024.

Weibo Gaming have been very on-brand as one of the more inconsistent teams. The LPL’s fourth seeds have an explosive early game, boasting the third-highest gold difference at 15 minutes (+1273) of LoL Worlds 2024. However, their mid-game decision-making is lacking.
LNG Esports are very good at punishing those mid-game mistake — as seen in their victory against Dplus KIA, who have similar issues as Weibo Gaming. But it is fair to question whether that warrants a wager on LNG at this number.
Even though they had a perfect run through the Swiss Stage, LNG have only beaten Liquid and two struggling teams, which is hardly something to write home about. Weibo Gaming, meanwhile, are highly inconsistent but have a high ceiling and know their opponents well, so they are hard to pass on at this price.
