Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon has broken his own record, becoming the first Dota 2 professional to reach a 13,000 matchmaking ranking (MMR).

He took to Twitter to share the achievement, displaying an image that showed the statistics with a caption saying, “After 3 weeks of playing 24/7 I reached 13k mmr.”

Since the conclusion of The International 2022, the Thai player has been dedicated to achieving success in the Southeast Asian servers. After three weeks of intense gameplay, 23savage has reached his goal and is well-prepared for the upcoming 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.

23savage’s achievement is particularly noteworthy due to the fact that he was the first player to reach 12,000 MMR in the year 2021. The year before, he became the second player to reach 11,000 MMR.

It is worth noting that 23savage accomplished this feat on the SEA server, which is known to be one of the most challenging Dota 2 matchmaking pools in the world. Many players from other regions have experienced significant losing streaks when playing public matches on the SEA server.

The increased level of difficulty in the Southeast Asian server is largely attributed to the intense competition among players in the region. Due to the high demand for core positions among a significant portion of the player base, there is a shortage of dedicated support players in the region.

This situation has sparked debates among core players, as some are forced to play support roles. Additionally, language barriers add to the challenges of grinding for MMR in the SEA server.

Many in the Dota 2 community have celebrated 23savage’s accomplishment. Fans and fellow players alike have expressed their admiration for his skill and congratulated him on this impressive feat.
