Another big week of esports kicks off on January 13, 2025, with League of Legends taking the spotlight.

Three of the five top League of Legends regional leagues will kick off this week following the start of the LPL Split 1 last week. The LCK Cup, LEC Winter and LCP Kickoff will begin on January 15, 17 and 18, respectively.

The VALORANT Champions Tour China Kickoff started on January 11, and now the other three major VCT regional leagues will begin their Kickoff tournaments during the week.

Meanwhile, the inaugural edition of the BLAST Bounty Spring will kick off on Tuesday, January 14, with the closed qualifiers taking place from January 14-19.


  • League of Legends – LPL, LCK, LEC, LCP

    Split 1 of the LPL began last week and will continue this week, joined by the LCK, LEC, and LCP.

    The inaugural edition of the LCK Cup will begin on Wednesday, January 15 and run through February 23, while the Season Kickoff for the new LCP league will start on January 17 and conclude on February 23 also.

    The LEC Winter split will kick off on January 18 and run through March 2.

    Best esports betting sites have markets available for the LCK Cup, LCP Season Kickoff and LEC Winter. Gen.G leads the betting for the LCK Cup at +125, while Talon Esports are marked as heavy favourites in the LCP at -151.52. Perennial LEC champions, G2 Esports, are rated massive favourites to take out LEC Winter at -138.89.

  • VALORANT Champions Tour 2025: Pacific, Americas, China & EMEA Kickoff

    Although the VCT China Kickoff event started last week, the Americas, Pacific and EMEA tournaments will begin this week.

    The VCT EMEA Kickoff will be the first to start on January 15, followed by the Americas on January 16 before the VCT Pacific Kickoff tournament starts on January 18.

    All of the participating squads will be competing for the two regional spots at VCT Masters Bangkok, which will be the first international VCT event of 2025.

  • CS2 BLAST Bounty Spring Closed Qualifiers

    The opening Counter-Strike 2 tournament will take place from January 14-19, with the closed qualifiers of the BLAST Bounty Spring set to be played in Europe (Online).

    From the closed qualifiers, the top eight CS2 squads will advance to the BLAST Bounty Spring LAN Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark, from January 22-25.

    After claiming the Perfect World Shangahi Major at the end of 2024, Team Spirit are rated as the +300 favourite with BetOnline to claim the inaugural BLAST Bounty Spring title.
