Team Heretics narrowly missed out on VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, ending their streak of three consecutive international VALORANT events attended after placing second at VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2025 and VALORANT Champions 2024. Apeks, on the other side, ended the Kickoff event in last place, following defeats against Gentle Mates and Team Liquid.
The disappointing performance during the Kickoff led to changes for Apeks, who benched Tautvydas “hype” Paldavicius and brought in ex-TALON player Peter “Governor” No. While a solid addition on paper, signing one player will not improve Apeks significantly.
Team Heretics produced a few stinkers in the Kickoff event, but they have an excellent foundation and enough talent to contest a top-three finish. Heretics will need a strong start to Stage 1, and there is little to suggest they cannot run over Apeks, who’ve given us very little to feel excited about.
Team Heretics -11.5 rounds

KOI were expected to struggle early into the season and lived up to that expectation with a round-one exit from the VCT Kickoff tournament—with defeats against Team Liquid and Gentle Mates. On the other side, FUT Esports came one map short of finishing top three.
It’s been nearly two months since the two VALORANT teams played their last official match, so the form does not hold much weight. But while FUT Esports look much better on paper, there is one more thing to consider.
Bottom-tier teams like KOI tend to focus heavily on one or two maps during the extended break, which could be the case here. Individually, KOI are not up to par with FUT, but they can manoeuvre their way through the map veto and get at least one good map, so taking their side on the map handicap market at +120 makes a lot of sense.
