Fnatic defeated Natus Vincere 2-1 in the second round of the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff, and according to the latest betting odds on the top esports betting sites, they are expected to win again.
Despite an underwhelming fifth-sixth finish in the Kickoff event, Fnatic decided to keep all five of their players for Stage 1 but made significant changes to their support staff. They added Philipp “Szed” Schickor as a performance coach, former BBL Esports analyst Benjamin “Scuttt” Hutchinson as an assistant coach, and promoted Milan “Milan” Meij to head coach.
Natus Vincere made just one change, signing Dmytro “Chippy” Bychenko as an assistant coach.
The last time these two teams played, it came down to an overtime on Haven where Fnatic edged out a win. And while they have a solid coaching staff to help them improve, it is very hard to make a strong case for the Black & Orange at this number.
Both teams have had plenty of time to prepare for VCT Stage 1, so this should be closer to even money than the latest odds suggest. The value is with Natus Vincere.
Natus Vincere to win

Team Liquid placed second in the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff following a painful reverse sweep in the grand finals. They then went on to place top six at VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, where they lost to EDward Gaming and eventual finalists G2 Esports.
Gentle Mates did not travel to Bangkok after a seventh-eighth finish in the Kickoff tournament, where they lost to against Team Heretics and Fnatic. They have since signed former Liquid player Maks “kamyk” Rychlewski, who was replaced by up-and-coming Latvian player Maikls “SerialKiller” Zdanovs.
SerialKiller is a bit of unknown quality, but considering Liquid trialled multiple players and picked him over the likes of Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, the 21-year-old has to be a solid addition who can help Liquid start the stage with a comfortable win.
