Team Secret have completed one of the most dominant runs in Rainbow Six Siege history, sweeping G2 Esports in the grand final to secure their first Rainbow Six Siege X Esports World Cup title in Riyadh. The European roster pocketed the $1,000,000 top prize and 1,000 Club Championship points, cementing themselves as the new kings of Siege.
Secret’s road to glory began with the toughest of opening draws—defending champions Team Falcons. In a tense overtime battle, Secret held their nerve to edge out an 8-6 victory, sending the reigning champs to the lower bracket and out of contention.
From there, Secret never looked back. They dispatched w7m esports 7-2 to lock in their playoff spot, then swept aside both Weibo Gaming and Spacestation Gaming without dropping a single map, booking their ticket to the final in flawless fashion.
On the opposite side of the bracket, G2 Esports battled through a far more gruelling path, including a semi-final classic against FURIA Esports that many considered worthy of a final. That win set the stage for a clash of styles in the title decider.
