T1 and Dplus KIA are set to face off on Saturday, January 31, in the penultimate round of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup 2026 in one of the most exciting games of the week.

Dplus KIA enter the match with a solid 3-1 record. They started the split with two 2-0 sweeps of BRION and SOOPers, to which they added a more competitive 2-1 victory against Nongshim RedForce. Their last outing, however, ended in a crushing 0-2 loss against Gen.G.

The defeat against Gen.G was very one-sided. Despite showing signs of life this season and playing with much more confidence, Dplus KIA got outclassed by Gen.G in all areas of the game. They could not keep up in the laning phase, in macro, or in drafting.

The big question is how much weight that defeat carries, given that Gen.G are arguably the world’s best team. T1 should present a softer challenge for Dplus KIA, but not an easy one.

The reigning world champions have yet to drop a series this split, but have played a couple of close games against DRX and, more recently, against BNK FEARX.

The latter match could’ve easily ended in FEARX’s favour, granted it is more of a testament to FEARX’s quality.
