Top Esports ADC Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo is likely to take a break from professional League of Legends at the start of the 2026 season and will be replaced by Zi “JiaQi” Jia-Qi for the duration of his absence.
At the end of the 2025 LoL Pro League (LPL) season, JackeyLove talked about his chronic tinnitus, stating he is unsure whether he will play in the next season.
His re-signing with Top Esports earlier this week indicated that JackeyLove will return to action; however, as announced, the 21-year-old might miss the first half of the season.
Widely known as one of the best ADC players in the history of the game, JackeyLove has long been suffering from chronic
tinnitus, a condition that causes ringing in the ears.
While his doctors advised him to take a break from the game due to strain on his ears, JackeyLove has remained active in the pro scene throughout 2025.
However, it appears his condition has forced JackeyLove to take a temporary step back, as he plans to use this offseason for treatment, which will impact his ability to play at the start of LPL 2026.
Top Esports are aware of the situation and have made the necessary preparations to ensure JackeyLove’s absence does not impact the team’s season start.
To fill in the gap, Top Esports have added their academy graduate Zi “JiaQi” Jiaqi, who made his LPL debut last season.
The 21-year-old started his career in 2021 with TES Challengers and already featured on the main roster as a temporary
substitute in 2022 and 2024, before moving to Royal Never Give Up for the 2025 season.
He also spent three months on FunPlus Phoenix, who acquired JiaQi’s services in July. While JiaQi has not secured any titles in his debut season in the LPL, he has gained valuable experience and won the Outstanding Rookie award in Split 1.
Now, the young player will have a chance to step into JackeyLove’s shoes for the foreseeable future, helping Top Esports start the season strong. LPL 2025 kicks off on January 1.
