VALORANT Masters Toronto

Fnatic have secured their place in the VALORANT Masters Toronto grand final with a commanding 3-1 victory over Wolves Esports in the lower bracket final, setting up a long-awaited international title clash with Paper Rex.

Making their first grand final appearance since VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023, Fnatic looked revitalised from the opening map. Split, their pick, saw the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA giants explode to a 10-2 attack half, with Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski and Emir “Alfajer” Beder tearing through Wolves’ defence. Although the Chinese squad mounted a six-round comeback on their own attack, Fnatic held firm to close out the map 13-9.

Icebox, Wolves’ choice, backfired badly. Fnatic’s double Sentinel setup frustrated every move Wolves made, with kaajak starring on Jett with an 18/8 score and 285 ACS. Wolves never recovered after a 9-3 first half and were swiftly dispatched 13-4.

Wolves showed grit on Lotus, where Liu “Spring” Chun-ting and Tyler “juicy” Aeria led an aggressive attack that finally broke Fnatic’s rhythm. Spring dropped 26 kills while Juicy dominated first duels, as Wolves capitalised on a shaky Fnatic defence to snatch a 13-10 win and avoid the sweep.

But Ascent belonged to one man — Alfajer. With his Chamber once again dictating the pace, the Turkish VALORANT star led all players with 22 kills and helped Fnatic dominate both halves. Fnatic took the map 13-5 and sealed the series, completing their resurgence after missing Masters Bangkok.

Wolves exit with heads held high, finishing third in their international debut — the best result in the organisation’s history. They leave behind scalps like Gen.G, Team Heretics, and RRQ in a breakout tournament.

Fnatic now face Pacific powerhouse Paper Rex in Sunday’s grand final. With US$350,000 and the Masters Toronto title on the line, it’s a clash of styles and regions — a perfect finale for an unforgettable event.

The best esports betting sites cannot split the two teams in early betting, with both Fnatic and Paper Rex marked at -125 to take out the final series of the event.
