Gen.G are viewed as the undisputed favorites to win First Stand, and it should not come as a surprise. The Korean champions have made a name for themselves as the world’s best and most efficient team, but it is fair to question whether they’re priced fairly.
JD Gaming are the second seed from the LoL Pro League (LPL). After a slower start to the split, JDG have found their rhythm in the domestic playoffs, but much like other Chinese teams, they’ve been volatile and unconvincing, mainly due to questionable mid-late game decision-making.
Such errors will not go unpunished by Gen.G, making it hard to believe JD Gaming can come out ahead. But they have the individual talent to outplay Gen.G, so a clean sweep for the Korean squad seems just as unlikely.
While this is Gen.G’s game to lose, JDG to win a map at -175.44 is a fair offer.

The second day of First Stand ends with a clash between two weaker teams, LYON and LOUD, who won their respective leagues, though one with more convincing performances.
LYON had a shaky run in the LCS Lock-In but appeared sharper in the final two games of the playoffs. Most of their success came down to LYON’s deep champion pool, which allows them to counter-pick their opponents.
The best LoL bookmakers have LOUD priced at +350, giving them a 22.2% implied probability of beating their northern neighbors. Despite hailing from a weaker region, that percentage appears low.
LYON have shown better performances in the latter stages of the split, but haven’t been convincing for most of LCS Lock-In.
While it is hard to evaluate LOUD’s strength on the international stage, the gap between CBLOL and LCS is not as significant as these numbers suggest.
LOUD to keep it close.
