Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok has re-signed with T1, meaning he is set to bring up 20 years with the Korean powerhouse.
The undisputed greatest League of Legends player of all time, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, has re-signed with T1 until 2029, extending his career by at least four more years.
The LoL Champions Korea team announced the news on Sunday during their home match against Nongshim RedForce in LCK 2025 Rounds 3-5.
Faker’s new contract ends ahead of the 2030 League of Legends season, at which point he will have spent nearly 17 years with T1.
In that time, the superstar mid-laner has accumulated five LoL World Championship titles, two LoL Worlds MVPs, two Mid-Season Invitational trophies, and one Esports World Cup gold medal.
On top of his international success, Faker has also won 10 LCK titles, with two season MVPs and one finals MVP award.
Despite being at an age when most professional players consider retiring or transitioning to coaching, the 29-year-old remains one of T1’s biggest weapons.
By locking in Faker as their starting mid-laner for four more years, T1 can now focus on catching up with Gen.G, who recently booked an early ticket for LoL Worlds 2025.
T1 hold a 13-7 record across the LCK 2025 season, including a perfect 2-0 record in the final split.
Their next match in Rounds 3-5 is scheduled for Tuesday, when Faker and co. face off against their archrivals, KT Rolster, in the split’s first Telecom War.
The best LoL betting sites have T1 pegged as -250 favourites to secure their third consecutive victory of the split — and the 928th win of Faker’s career.
