The second week of esports action at the 2025 Esports World Cup began on Tuesday as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational and Honor of Kings Esports World Cup kicked off. Looking ahead to Wednesday, the Free Fire and League of Legends Esports World Cups will get underway.

The US$3 million Honor of Kings Esports World Cup kicked off on Tuesday, with play from Groups A and B taking place throughout the day. Eight teams competed in four best-of-three series, with the winners earning a spot in the upper bracket final and the losers set to battle for their tournament lives in the lower bracket.

With the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports World Cup taking a break for the week, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational will run its course over the next five days.

The League of Legends and Free Fire Esports World Cups will kick off on Wednesday, July 16, as the world’s top League of Legends and Free Fire squads will congregate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Following the conclusion of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational last week, the top LoL squads will head to the Middle East to compete in the LoL Esports World Cup. T1 will return to defend their EWC title in great form after going down to Gen.G in the MSI grand final.
The Free Fire Esports World Cup will return for the second year, with another US$1 million tournament scheduled to run from July 16-20. Crowd favourites, Team Falcons, will be seeking to defend their title when they kick off their campaign in Group A.
