The Dota 2 Riyadh Masters will feature in the Esports World Cup with a massive US$5 million prize pool, with the event taking place from July 4–21. The top eight teams on the EPT Leaderboard received direct invites to the group stage, while the other 12 teams had to earn their way into the event through regional qualifiers.

Following the change over from FIFA to EA Sports FC 24, the Esports World Cup has kept much-loved soccer game in its pool of tournaments. Although there were two different tournaments that ran during the Gamers8 festival, there will only be one at the Esports World Cup, with 16 players taking their place in the four-day long event.

Another legendary esports title that made its debut at the 2023 Gamers8 festival was StarCraft 2, and it will return at the Esports World Cup after a successful maiden event last year. In total, 18 players will compete in the 1v1 US$1,000,000 Starcraft Esports World Cup tournament, which will take place from August 14–18.

PUBG will return to Riyadh at the Esports World Cup, with the top 24 PUBG teams from all over the world competing in the five-day tournament from August 21–25. The teams will battle it out for a share in the US$2 million prize pool, but more importantly, the PUBG Global Series Points to try and qualify for the 2024 PUBG Global Championship later in the year.

PUBG Mobile – US$3,000,000

The PUBG World Cup will remain one of the biggest mobile tournaments of it’s time, offering $3 million in prize money at the 2024 Esports World Cup. The top 28 PUBG mobile teams from all over the world will make their way to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to compete in the 10-day event from July 19–28.

Counter-Strike 2 – US$1,000,000

Counter-Strike 2 was one of the new additions to the Gamers8 festival in 2023, and it will return to the Esports World Cup in 2024, with a 15-team and five-day tournament kicking off on July 17. Top CS2 teams from all over the world will take their place in Riyadh, and they will be battling it out for their own share in the $1 million prize pool.

Rocket League has featured at every Gamers8 festival since the inaugural year in 2022, and the game will return under the Esports World Cup banner in 2024. The four-day-long event is scheduled to run from August 22–25.

Apex Legends will make its debut in Saudi Arabia and take its place in the Esports World Cup. The top 40 Apex Legends teams will compete in the five-day event with a massive US$2 million prize pool up for grabs, with the winner taking home a cool US$600,000 and 1,000 Club Points for their organisation.


Club Championship prize pool

The US$60 million prize pool for the Esports World Cup includes a new Club Championship, which will have its own US$20 million pool where esports organisations will earn points based on where they finish in each tournament.
