The ESL Pro League Season 22 is in the final round before the playoffs – lets take a look at the action.

ESL Pro League betting tips for October 8, 2025

NaVi and MongolZ headline Counter-Strike ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 2 Round 5 matches with both outfits needing a win to sew up their playoffs spot on Wednesday. G2 Esports and 3DMax also promises to be a bumper encounter between two quality teams, while the day will close with another great battle between Aurora and FaZe. Below we will run you through the form and give you our free CS2 ESL Pro League S22 tips for Wednesday, October 8.

NaVi v MongolZ

NAVI -250 @ BetOnline | MongolZ +175 @ BetOnline

NaVi is the under heading into their clash against Mongolz, but they have definite claims on a win here, having beaten them at IEM Katowice earlier this year. MongolZ then returned the favour at PGL Astana in the Swiss/Group stage, before NaVi edged them out in a close one at IEM Cologne. With both teams in with a change of making the playoffs, this match is incredibly important, with the loser likely to drop out of the top eight.

NaVi will attempt to play a measured game against their erratic opponent, but if they lose an early map they might be in trouble, with the Mongolz form exceptional since they dropped their round 1 match against HOTU, who have since failed to win a game.

While we think this CS2 clash will be very close, I am leaning towards NaVi for the simple fact their odds are better and we judge the match much closer to even money. If you’re feeling adventurous we think NaVi to win 2-1 at 4.33 is offering great value, or the over 2.5 maps is safer.

G2 Esports v 3DMAX

G2 -250 @ BetOnline | 3DMax +175 @ BetOnline

3DMax only snuck into Stage 2 of the event when they defeated ENCE 2-1 in their final round 4 matchup and face a stern test here. G2 Esports are considered one of the teams to beat in this event and we find it hard to see them losing here with their greater firepower, and exceptionally talented roster. They will just be aiming to avoid a slow start, against a team chock full of confidence after their recent wins over NaVi and Faze Clan.

If 3D Max are to win they will need to use their veto ability well, because there are some maps we think they will get blitzed on, while G2 Esports will attempt to to control the opening half of maps and use their greater skill level to finish their opponent in the run home. We are going to keep it simple here and tip you G2 Esports to win 2-0.

Aurora v Faze Clan

Aurora -250 @ SportsBetting | Faze Clan +110 @ BetOnline

Aurora is a 1.66 favourite in head-to-head betting with esports betting sites, with Faze Clan paying 2.10. This match again has the potential to swing either way and we are a little surprised by how heavily the odds favour Aurora, although they have began to look more like the team taht finished third at the PGL Bucharest event earlier this year.

Aurora’s star power comes via Turkish pair Xantares and Özgür “woxic” Eker with the pair making waves at this event in-particular. It remains to be see though, how they will cope with the weight of expecation that comes with favouritism. We really think Faze Clan’s experience in the big games could be the difference. Take them to win at 2.10 with bet365, or +1.5 in match handicap betting at 1.33.
