CTBC Flying Oyster sign ex-BLG jungler Shad0w for 2026. Doggo extends; Rest re-signs; coach Chawy returns. CFO still seeking mid and support before kickoff.

Pacific’s most successful League of Legends team, CTBC Flying Oyster, bolstered their roster on Tuesday, December 16, with the signing of jungler Zhao “Shad0w” Zhi-Qiang.
Shad0w joins CTBC Flying Oyster from the LoL Pro League (LPL). He has spent the last four seasons competing with LGD Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FunPlus Phoenix, and Bilibili Gaming.

We are pleased to announce CFO's new Jungler Shad0w. After competing in LEC and LPL he ready to apply his many skillsets to the LCP. With his vast knowledge and flexible playstyle, we hope to show you what we can achieve pic.twitter.com/Hh7OdA3uUU
The 24-year-old started his esports career in 2017 with Outplayed in the Italian league, before moving up to Europe’s second-division with mousesports.
After a successful debut in Tier-2, reaching the semifinals of European Masters 2019 Summer, Shad0w got his shot in the big league with MAD Lions for the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC) 2020 season.
With MAD Lions, the Italian jungler placed second in the spring split and fourth in summer, securing a spot in the LoL World Championship.
However, a poor display on the big stage led to a complete roster overhaul and the departure of Shad0w, who found refuge at LGD Gaming.
With LGD Gaming, Shad0w hasn’t found much success, struggling to break top-11 across three LPL splits before moving to Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2023.
Even with his new squad, the jungler failed to contest top spots, finishing the season with a top-eight placement in LPL Summer.
Shad0w continued his journey in the Chinese league with FunPlus Phoenix, who decided to sell him to Bilibili Gaming.
This move led the jungler to his first Tier-1 trophy, as he helped BLG win LPL Split 3, averaging the fourth-highest gold per minute (+493.8) among all junglers.
Having proven his worth in one of the most competitive leagues in the world, Shad0w will now test out his skills in the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) as a member of CTBC Flying Oyster.
The three-time LCP champions will enter the 2026 season with an entirely new roster, having already parted ways with jungler Yu “JunJia” Chun-chia, mid laner Tsai “hongQ” Ming-hong, and top laner Shen “Driver” Tsung-hua.
ADC Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan is the only player whose contract was extended for the entire 2026 season.
Meanwhile, top laner Hsu “Rest” Shih-chieh re-signed only a day before Shad0w’s arrival, along with head coach Wong “Chawy” Xing Lei.
CTBC Flying Oyster now have to find a new support and mid laner for the next season, which starts on January 16 with the LCK 2026 Season Kickoff.
