League of Legends Pro League (LPL) team Top Esports re-signed Lin “Creme” Jian, Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo, and Bai “369” Jia-Hao for the 2026 season, retaining the core three players.
Top Esports made the announcement on Wednesday, November 26, doubling down on the veteran core, including JackeyLove, who has been with the team since 2020.
The news comes just days after Top Esports lost their jungler, Seo “Kanavi” Jih-hyeok, who left for Hanwha Life Esports, leaving the Chinese squad with a big gap to fill.
At the same time, Top Esports have yet to announce their starting support player for the 2026 League of Legends season, with Wang “Fengyue” Runlai and Fu “Hang” Minghang both listed as active players.
The decision to keep the core mid-top-ADC trio on the roster comes after a turbulent year for Top Esports, who have had their flashes of greatness.
The Chinese juggernauts kicked off the season by winning LPL Split 1 and reaching the semifinals of First Stand. In the second split, TES had to settle for a fifth-sixth place finish, thus missing the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup. But they bounced back in the final stage with a silver medal from Split 3 and a first-place finish in the Regional
Finals.
The late-season resurgence saw Top Esports reach the LoL World Championship for a second consecutive year, where they eliminated Bilibili Gaming in the final match of the Swiss Stage to reach the final eight.
In the playoffs, they beat the unconvincing G2 Esports but were outclassed by the eventual champions, T1, in the semifinals. Despite the tough ending to the year, Top Esports are set to enter the new season relatively unchanged, building on the same foundation as in 2025. Assuming they will keep the same support, TES’ only change will come in the jungle.
To finalize their roster, Top Esports are likely going to fill the gap via the newly introduced LPL bidding system. Top Esports have over one month to complete their lineup, ahead of LPL 2026 Split 1, scheduled to begin on January 1.
