Toronto KOI continue to struggle as they’ve managed only one victory from the four games played this stage. Last week, they lost to Los Angeles Thieves 1-3 but swept G2 Minnesota in one of their best games of the season.

Paris Gentle Mates, on the other side, looked like they were in cruise control over the first two weeks of play, but then suffered the biggest upset loss of the year on Friday, when Dylan “Envoy” Hannon and his crew had to admit defeat to Cloud9 New York.

One bad loss like that should not be a reason for concern, although it proves that Paris Gentle Mates are not invincible.

How this game plays out mainly depends on which version of Toronto KOI will show up. Although Paris Gentle Mates have shown higher highs this season and should not be underestimated.

FAZE VEGAS vs BOSTON BREACH

FaZe Vegas have not looked great this stage. They lost the opening match of the CDL Stage 2 Major Qualifiers against Miami Heretics. They picked themselves up with two victories over Toronto KOI and Vancouver Surge, but lost their most recent two matches to G2 Minnesota and Riyadh Falcons.

Despite fielding world-class players, FaZe have proven to be very inconsistent, especially on respawns. That was particularly noticeable in their loss against the Falcons, who won with 250-220 on Hardpoint, 3-1 on Overload, and 250-102 on the final Hardpoint.

Boston Breach remain an enigma, as a team who are hard to pin down. They’ve managed just one victory this stage, but that run includes a few excellent maps. Much like Vegas FaZe, Boston are anything but consistent, although they’ve looked more potent since the arrival of Kristopher “Spart” Cervantez.

On paper, this looks like FaZe’s game to lose. But their tendency to slip on respawns suggests that Boston Breach can leave a dent.

MIAMI HERETICS vs CLOUD9 NEW YORK

Miami Heretics are given a 95.2% implied probability of beating Cloud9 New York on Sunday and bounce back from a 1-2 start to the stage. Cloud9 New York are widely considered one of the weakest teams in the league, and their 1-3 record does not suggest otherwise.

C9NY have, however, recently beaten Paris Gentle Mates, so they have some fight in them.

Miami Heretics have been slowly ramping up this season, and with the individual talent on this roster, they are bound to compete for a top-five finish. First, however, they need to work on Hardpoint and Overload, where the Heretics are 43.8% and 38.5%, respectively.

Cloud9 New York seem to only do well on Scar, which is their best map. They also looked more comfortable on Blackheart, so there is a world where the outsiders take one map.

VANCOUVER SURGE vs OPTIC TEXAS

Vancouver Surge are 1-2 ahead of the third week of play in CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers. They started the stage with two defeats against Los Angeles Thieves and FaZe Vegas but got back on track with a 3-1 victory against the shaky Boston Breach.

OpTic Texas, on the other side, are 4-0, having already beaten Boston Breach, G2 Minnesota, Miami Heretics, and Cloud9 New York, dropping just three maps in the process.

As one of the league’s top teams, OpTic are rightly viewed as firm favorites to defeat the Surge, and there is little to suggest they will struggle doing so.

OpTic Texas are significantly better on all game modes and have a higher win rate on all maps but Den, which they will want to ban.

Barring any major surprises, OpTic should sweep.
