This is a must-win match for G2 Minnesota if they want to finish the stage in the top eight. G2 have recorded only two wins in six games, but enter the final week of action following a huge 3-1 upset victory over FaZe Vegas.
Despite that victory, it is hard to feel optimistic about G2 Minnesota, who have looked very mediocre this stage. Besides upsetting FaZe, they’ve not shown much, struggling against OpTic Texas, Boston Breach, Riyadh Falcons, and the Carolina Royal Ravens.
All losses, except the one against OpTic, extended to map five, which appears promising. But it also highlights how inefficient G2 Minnesota are in clutch moments.
As the odds on the top CoD betting sites suggest, this is Toronto KOI’s game to lose. Despite their recent slip-up against the surging Carolina Royal Ravens, KOI have looked like a more stable and complete team.

After a 0-2 start to the stage, the Riyadh Falcons have picked up the pace, winning the next four outings, beating Carolina Royal Ravens, Boston Breach, G2 Minnesota, and Paris Gentle Mates.
Cloud9 New York are locked out of securing an upper bracket spot for Major 1, after going 1-5 over the first four weeks of play. They have been struggling to find traction, often falling flat on map five, with four out of five losses going the distance.
However, despite winning 11 maps so far, they do not appear to be a serious threat to Riyadh Falcons, who have been improving. Their Hardpoint needs more work, granted, but C9NY are not among the top respawn teams.

Los Angeles Thieves hit a rough patch in the second week of CDL Stage 1 Major Qualifiers, but bounced back with a 3-1 upset win against OpTic Texas at the end of Week 4. Boston Breach, on the other hand, are 3-3 heading into their final match of the stage, but 1-3 from the last four.
Neither team have looked great this stage, but according to the markets, LA Thieves are heavily favored to win. This is not too shocking considering the raw quality of the Thieves’ roster and the fact that they usually do well against Breach online.
Both squads have shown cracks, so while this is the Los Angeles Thieves’ game to lose, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we see a closer series.
