Ahead of the BLAST Open Fall tournament, scheduled for an August 27 start, BLAST have confirmed the 12 teams that have accepted invites for the event.
Danish tournament organisers BLAST have revealed the 12 Counter-Strike 2 teams who have accepted invitations to BLAST Open Fall 2025.
The 12 participants were selected based on their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) position on July 7; however, not all teams accepted the invitation.
Team Falcons and 3DMAX, ranked No.5 and No.13, decided to skip the event.
Falcons withdrew from the tournament, citing practice with their newest member, Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin. Meanwhile, 3DMAX have not commented on why they decided not to attend.
Despite Team Falcons and 3DMAX’s absence, BLAST Open Fall will feature nine of the top 10 teams on VRS, including the defending BLAST Open champions, Team Vitality.
With 12 teams confirmed, four spots are left open for the champions of regional BLAST Rising events: RES Showdown Fall 2025, Ace North American Masters Fall 2025, Ace South American Masters Fall 2025, and BLAST Rising Asia Fall 2025.
The second BLAST Open tournament is scheduled to begin on August 27, with the closed qualifiers, featuring all 16 participating teams.
Squads will be placed into two double-elimination groups, with all series played as best-of-three.
The top three teams from each group will proceed to LAN Finals, held in London’s OVO Arena Wembley on September 5-7.
BLAST Open was initially supposed to be a LAN event, but the first stage was moved online to reduce teams’ travel strain.
Top Counter-Strike 2 betting sites are expected to open the outright markets following the conclusion of the four qualifying events on August 3.
