Atlanta FaZe won the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Stage 2 Major on Sunday with a convincing 4-0 sweep of Seattle Surge, marking the seventh Major trophy for the CoD esports team.
FaZe travelled to the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, as defending CDL Major champions, having picked up the season’s first LAN trophy in February.
Due to the unconvincing display at CDL 2025 Minor 2 and a rough run through the online stage, FaZe were not considered as favourites to succeed in Texas, billed as the second-most-likely team on the top CoD betting sites.

However, FaZe once again proved that online results mean nothing if you can perform in front of a crowd.
Heading into the Major as the second seed, Atlanta FaZe kicked off the tournament with a 3-0 sweep of Minnesota RØKKR in the upper-bracket quarterfinals and kept their wheels spinning in the semifinals, where Chris “Simp” Lehr and co. defeated Cloud9 New York 3-1.
FaZe’s toughest challenge came in the upper-bracket finals, where they met with Vancouver Surge, who were running hot with victories against Carolina Royal Ravens and Boston Breach under their belts.
Surge proved a worthy opponent, picking up both Hardpoints and forcing the second Search & Destroy, where FaZe came out ahead 6-5 and edged out a win.
The Major 2 grand final was a rematch of the upper-bracket final after Surge bested Toronto Ultra 3-1 in the lower bracket.
Yet unlike the first clash between the two outfits, this one was more straightforward, as FaZe swept aside Vancouver Surge with a dominant 4-0 victory.
By winning CDL 2025 Major 2, Atlanta FaZe pocketed US$150,000 in tournament winnings and 100 CDL points.
This puts them in the lead on the 2025 CDL season standings with 230 points. They sit ahead of Los Angeles Thieves with 225 and Carolina Royal Ravens in third with 175 points.
With Major 2 in their rearview mirror, the CDL 2025 enters the second half of the season, starting with CDL 2025 Major 3 qualifiers, scheduled to begin on April 4.
