Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson, a former Atlanta FaZe player, will reportedly join the Los Angeles Guerrillas for next year’s Call of Duty League season.

The LA Guerrillas announced the move via their Twitter page, as well as the rest of its starting roster for the upcoming CDL season.

Besides Arcitys, the other three players announced by the team include Cuyler “Huke” Garland, Travis “Neptune” McCloud and Kris “Spart” Cervantez. The trio is three-fourths of the group that concluded the 2022 CDL season with the team.

The roster is the same lineup that surfaced days after the former FaZe player revealed that he was now a restricted free agent. Arcitys made the announcement on August 18, suggesting that he was taken off the roster due to making changes to its lineup.

Arcitys was a part of the FaZe roster for two seasons and played a crucial role in enabling the team to earn the title of most consistent team, during his stint with the franchise. While in FaZe, Arcitys won a number of tournaments in Black Ops: Cold War and the COD Champs 2021.

Although the team did not win a tournament in Vanguard this year, they finished in second place four times.

Arcitys’ move from the team indicates that FaZe will have to choose a player to fill his spot.

The player’s previous teammates in FaZe include McArthur “Cellium” Jovel, Chris “Simp” Lehr, and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris.

Recently, Arcitys took to Twitter to talk about the issues surrounding his move from FaZe, explaining that this past season, the team did not have any trust or respect amongst themselves.

He claimed the environment was not comfortable for him and maintained that the new change was very much welcome. The 24-year-old concluded by saying: “playing some days I questioned if they wanted me, but like I said, its what everyone needed I cant wait for this new team.”

Many felt Arcity’s announcement that he was a restricted free agent was related to OpTic Texas’ previous notice that their player, Brandon “Dashy” Otell was also in restricted free agency.

A swap between the two teams was expected, but OpTic eventually opted to keep Dashy on the team.

It is not certain how Arcitys became a part of the LA Guerrillas. However, due to his restricted agent status, the team had to pay a buyout fee for the player.

During the 2022 season, the LA Guerrillas recorded a number of wins, but were unable to finish the season strong. In April, the team won Major 2, its first CDL tournament. However, they failed to reach the top eight standings at the end of the regular season.

The LA Guerrillas were also unable to qualify for the COD Championship 2022. The lineup at the end of the season included Spart, Huke, Neptune, and Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat.

Among the three players selected for the new rosters, Spart will be in charge of the flex and Neptune and Huke will play the SMG duo. The new player, Arcitys, will play the main AR.

The LA Guerrillas are also in the market for a new head coach in preparation for the Modern Warfare 2 Season. After parting ways with Embry “Bevils” Bevil, the previous head coach of the team, on August 9, the LA Guerrillas did not announce the next person to take up the spot. Previous assistant coach Richard “Ricky” Stacy will man the position of LA Guerrillas’ team manager.
