Oracle Red Bull Racing is set to play a lead role in the formation of an all-female team to compete in the Motorsport UK British F4 Esports Championships.
Red Bull Technology Group Director of Partnerships Julia George confirmed the company would be partnering with ecommerce technology firm Rokt in the venture.
Ms George said the landmark moment in sim racing was a great opportunity to foster female talent in esports, with it also set to extend to fielding a tea in the UK FF1600 feeder series.
“The aim of the Rokt the Rig programme is to provide female esports talent with the opportunity to develop and hone their skills in a professional, competitive setting,” she said.
“We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Rokt to give wings to this group of talented women.”
The six-driver squad was chosen through rigorous iRacing trials that drew some of the world’s top female sim racers, with two standouts identified through Rokt’s pioneering “Rokt the Rig” initiative, developed alongside Oracle Red Bull Racing.
Before their debut, the team attended a week-long bootcamp at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes, featuring bespoke fitness training and coaching from two-time iRacing World Champion Sebastian Job.
“At Rokt, we believe inclusion fuels performance, and this all-female team shows what’s possible when opportunity meets talent,” Rokt’s Chief Commercial Officer Elizabeth Buchanan said.
“We are creating clear pathways for female talent to compete and thrive at the highest levels.”
The initiative builds on Red Bull Racing and Rokt’s wider push to increase diversity in motorsport and STEM, which has included the “Driven Beyond Limits” series spotlighting female engineers.
The British F4 Esports Championships are set to kick off on Sunday, with markets available at some esports betting sites, although wagering can be limited, with little exposed form available.
