G2 Esports and Movistar KOI will lock horns on Tuesday, February 24, in the upper bracket final of League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2026 Versus, in their first clash since Week 1 of the regular season.
Movistar KOI won the last meeting but are $2.25 underdogs on the top LoL bookmakers to make it past G2 again this week.
Both teams finished the regular season with a 6-5 record, struggling with consistency. However, they’ve both looked much more efficient in the playoffs.
G2 Esports crushed Team Heretics in the quarterfinals and added a 2-0 sweep of Karmine Corp in the semifinals. Movistar KOI, on the other hand, swept Team Vitality and Natus Vincere to reach the upper bracket finals.
Movistar have been a very two-faced team this season. They do not have many average games, as KOI either stomp or get stomped, but they have been doing more of the former in the knockout stage.
G2 Esports are very similar to Movistar KOI in that sense – very hot-and-cold. But much like KOI, G2 Esports shifted into a higher gear for the playoffs.
In their last outing against Karmine Corp, G2 Esports found themselves in a few sticky situations on map one, but they ran away with it in the late game thanks to a fed Gwen.
The second map was way more chaotic, largely due to G2 Esports clowning around and making some weird calls. Ultimately, it came down to the smallest of margins.
This is a match between two elite teams who can be unpredictable. G2 Esports are known to step up when it matters, so it is hard to fade them. However, if they catch Movistar KOI on a good day, then it is very hard to justify taking G2’s side at this number.
Priced at +125 on the best LoL betting sites, Movistar KOI are a solid bet. Even though G2 Esports have shown higher highs, they are not invincible, and with the individual talent on KOI, the outsiders can force a very close game.
