KARMINE CORP vs FUT ESPORTS

Karmine Corp dropped to the lower bracket with defeats against Natus Vincere and Team Liquid. Meanwhile, FUT Esports have lost to Gentle Mates and Fnatic in their first two games of the season.

Despite going 0-2, FUT have looked promising. Their first defeat came at the hands of one of the league’s top dogs, and FUT did not perform poorly against Fnatic last Tuesday. The Turkish squad struggled on Abyss, but pushed the Black & Orange into overtime on Corrode and Split, nearly completing a reverse-sweep.

Karmine Corp have been less convincing, although they showed some fight against Team Liquid, losing with 13-2 on Abyss, 8-13 on Split, and 10-13 on Breeze.

On paper, Karmine Corp appear to have a higher ceiling, which explains why the best VALORANT betting sites have them priced as $1.53 favorites. However, Burak “LêwN” Alkan has been struggling individually, posting the league’s fifth-lowest rating (0.77), slightly behind his teammate Bogdan “Sheydos” Naumov (0.78).

This match is closer to 50/50 than the betting odds suggest. FUT Esports at outsider odds are hard to pass on.

PCIFIC ESPORTS vs ULF ESPORTS

PCIFIC Esports and ULF Esports have failed to secure a single win in their first season in VCT EMEA. While PCIFIC fell to BBL Esports and GIANTX, ULF Esports had to admit defeat to Team Vitality and Team Heretics.

In their defense, neither team have had an easy schedule, and they both showed some signs of life. Between the two, however, PCIFIC have looked more potent, taking maps off two of the league’s top dogs.

PCIFIC Esports also came very close to upsetting GIANTX on Wednesday, showing improvement from their loss to BBL, which was not a bad beat either.
