NRG welcome Keiko to VALORANT roster

NRG have announced the signing of Georgio “keiko” Sanassy to their VALORANT roster, finalizing the
lineup ahead of the 2026 season.

Keiko joins the North American squad after recently parting ways with Team Liquid, with whom he won
VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 2 and qualified for all three international events.

His stint, however, had an underwhelming ending, with Team Liquid crashing out of VALORANT
Champions in ninth-12th place, with defeats to DRX and NRG.

The 22-year-old started his career in January 2022 with The Goose House, before playing for WQYLDE,
BONK, and Apeks, with whom he made a name for himself after reaching the finals of VCT Ascension
EMEA 2023.

Originally, keiko played as a duelist, but switched to the controller role for the 2025 season, with some
secondary duelist play at Liquid.

Despite playing two positions, he stood out as one of the top-performing players in VCT EMEA,
averaging a 1.26 rating in the Kickoff event.

Keiko continued with impressive individual performances throughout 2025, especially in VCT EMEA
Stage 2, where he ranked as the second-best player in the league.

However, despite keiko’s individual input, Liquid failed to find any success on the international stage.
In a bid to compete for the biggest trophies, keiko now travels overseas to fill in the vacant spot on
NRG, left behind by Sam “s0m” Oh, after the latter’s retirement in October.

As s0m’s replacement, keiko will have huge shoes to fill; however, by joining the reigning world
champions, he has all the right to feel ambitious about lifting a Masters trophy in 2026.

Keiko will debut for NRG in the main event of Red Bull Home Ground 2025, scheduled for Friday,
November 14.
