THE MONGOLZ vs HEROIC

The MongolZ have hit a rough patch since reaching the grand final of FISSURE Playground #2. To make matters worse, they also lost one of their top players, Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold, who will be replaced by Unudelger “controlez” Baasanjargal.

With controlez, MongolZ placed third in the Thunderpick World Championship, which is not a bad outcome. But still far below the expectations.

HEROIC haven’t had the most successful season, but they have shown some pulse recently, with a fourth-place finish at CS Asia Championships and a top eight in Bucharest. While they have not beaten any top teams, HEROIC have proven they can fight, and they can take a bite out of the weakened MongolZ.

ASTRALIS vs NAVI

Astralis and Natus Vincere last met during BLAST Bounty Fall closed qualifiers, when Astralis won in three maps. For the
rematch, they are priced as underdogs, mainly due to NAVI’s recent resurgence – including a quarterfinal run at ESL Pro League and a silver medal from Thunderpick World Championship.

The Danes have not been as successful in their recent competitive endeavors, going 4-6 in their last 10 outings. That stretch includes victories over HEROIC, Legacy, MIBR, and 3DMAX, as well as two competitive games against Aurora Gaming.

NAVI are rightly billed as the team to beat here. But at these numbers, Astralis are worth a stab on the map handicap market.

PAIN GAMING vs SPIRIT

PaiN Gaming have recently made the quarterfinals of FISSURE Playgrounds #2 and PGL Masters Bucharest, which is not
something to sneeze at. However, they have also not faced or beaten many great teams over that stretch, so Spirit could prove to be too big a jump in competition.

Team Spirit have not found much success in the last two months, with a seventh-eighth place finish at BLAST Open Fall and fifth-eighth at ESL Pro League Season 22. It does not help that the Russian squad have played just five games since August.
