Counter-Strike 2 betting predictions

Only six teams remain in the 2025 CS Asia Championships, and there are some notable absentees from the knockout rounds.

FaZe Clan’s title defense in China is done after FUT Esports bundled them out of Group B, while Virtus.pro’s struggles continue following their loss to 3DMAX in the Group A lower-bracket final.

That sets up a couple of intriguing quarterfinal clashes this Friday, and eSportBet.com brings you expert insights and free Counter-Strike betting tips for both games.

FNATIC v 3DMAX

Given their respective positions in the Counter-Strike world rankings, few would have expected Fnatic to come through the upper bracket and 3DMAX to arrive via the lower. Even so, the best esports betting sites are forecasting that established quality will win out on this occasion.

Since smashing The Huns in their opening game, 3DMAX have been tested at every turn. They lost a tight one to Legacy, needed overtime against Lynn Vision Gaming, and had to rally from a map down to beat Virtus.pro. It certainly hasn’t been the cleanest run, but they come into the quarterfinals battle-hardened.

Fnatic have been the surprise package of the tournament. Despite bringing in B-Tier form, they have met every challenge so far and held their own. HEROIC needed deep overtime to get past them in the upper-bracket final, and that display sets up the Black & Orange nicely for their next test.

3DMAX should have a class edge, but Fnatic’s form suggests they can make this a real contest. Take the underdogs to cover the rounds line.

LEGACY v FUT ESPORTS

Best Odds: Legacy -151.52 at BetOnline | FUT +110 at SportsBetting
When: October 17, 2025 | 16:00 CST
Watch Live: Twitch

This looks like another mismatch when you take in rankings and records. Legacy have been competing at the top level and tend to perform well when they drop down in grade, while FUT Esports only entered the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene back in May.

But write off the underdogs at your peril. FUT Esports consigned FaZe Clan to the lower bracket and then booted them out of the tournament, while they also took out a very capable paiN Gaming outfit along the way. This side can do some damage.

Legacy’s form coming into the CS Asia Championships was nothing to write home about, but they jumped out of the blocks with a 13-2 mauling of Virtus.pro and then bested 3DMAX over three maps. The Brazilians started well against Team Liquid in the upper-bracket final, but that reverse-sweep loss highlighted some vulnerabilities.

Again, this one shapes up as a back-and-forth kind of contest. Back FUT to keep it close.
