This match is just a formality for BKN FEARX, who are already through to the playoffs, having beaten Nongshim RedForce and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Likewise, Vikings Esports have nothing to fight for as they’ve dropped their first two games and can no longer reach the knockout stage.
BNK FEARX are rightly viewed as firm favourites on the top LoL betting sites, but Vikings have shown some fight in their two losses. They performed well on the second map against Nongshim RedForce, and on Wednesday, Ngô “Kratos” Khánh and his crew stole one map from Ninjas in Pyjamas.
A smaller position on Vikings Esports to take one map against a team who have nothing to gain at $2.26 is worth considering.
Dplus KIA and GAM Esports are tied at 1-1 in Group A. Both teams swept JD Gaming and lost to Weibo Gaming, putting them in a do-or-die position, where a victory will earn a spot in the playoffs, while a loss will result in elimination.
Despite posting the same record, GAM Esports enter this match as heavy underdogs. This makes sense, as they haven’t been impressive with their recent showings, particularly in their mid-game decision-making.
Dplus KIA are objectively better, but they’ve been very inconsistent and volatile this season and are not an appealing pick as heavy favourites. Over 2.5 maps pays at $2.38, which is an easy choice considering Dplus KIA’s tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.
Ninjas in Pyjamas and Nongshim RedForce will battle for a spot in the playoffs after they both lost to BNK FEARX and defeated Vikings Esports. Nongshim RedForce were more successful, as they swept Vikings, while NiP needed three maps to edge out a win.
This, however, should not be the main reason to view RedForce as the clear favourites. Still, they had their moments against BKN FEARX in their 1-2 loss and have looked better so far at LoL Asia Invitational.
Nongshim RedForce are one of the LoL esports teams who should be playing better than they are, but we have not seen many great things from them. On the other hand, NiP have proven to be very volatile with not many good qualities.
Nongshim RedForce are not great, but at $1.64, they are fairly priced to take down Ninjas in Pyjamas.
