The teams for the final Counter-Strike Major of the year have been decided, with several teams making a last gasp successful effort.

Starladder Budapest CS2 Major teams finalized

The list of invited teams for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 was finalized on Monday, with no more potential scenarios that can change the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).

All 32 participating teams for the final Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year are now known, with several squads securing their spots in the last minute.

Some of the most noteworthy attendees who previously sat on the cusp of qualifying for the Major and have recently made the final push include PARIVISION, RED Canids, and Fluxo.

PARIVISION booked their tickets for Hungary with a heroic 3-2 victory against BetBoom Team in the LanDaLan #3 finals.

Meanwhile, Fluxo and RED Canids made the final push this weekend at Circuit X South America Season 1, where the two South American squads placed third and second, respectively.

Out of all teams who defied all odds and made it to the Major, Fnatic stand out as the most notable

The former Major champions had to have a lot of puzzles fall into place for them to qualify for Budapest; however, in the end, they wrote their own history by beating 9INE in a tight grand finale at Frag Blocktober 2025 on Monday.

Qualifying for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 marks a huge accomplishment for the Black & Orange, who will step back on the big stage for the first time since the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 kicks off on November 24, with the first stage of the event, where 16 teams will battle through a Swiss-system group for eight spots in Stage 2.

Stage 2 will follow the same format – featuring best-of-three advancement and elimination matches, and all other games played as best-of-one.

The top eight teams from Stage 2 proceed to Stage 3, which will continue with the Swiss-system format until the eight finalists are decided.

The Major playoffs will be single-elimination with all games, including the grand final, played as best-of-three.

With over one month separating us from the Major kickoff, the top Counter-Strike 2 betting sites have yet to open outright markets.

Those are expected to become available in the coming week, following the conclusion of the ESL Pro League Season 22, on October 12.
